WEST SWEDEN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Introduction

For general terms and conditions regarding membership in the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce Association, see the statutes, see bylaws (in swedish).

General Terms and Conditions – Companies, regulate the relationship between West Sweden Chamber of Commerce (VHK), org. no. 556063-6796, as the supplier and the customer company as the purchaser of services. These contractual terms form the basis of the purchase, and the terms are considered accepted upon purchase.

It should be clarified that an individual can place an order for training as a private person, paying for it privately. In such cases, the relationship between the individual and VHK is instead regulated by the Consumer Sales Act.

GDPR VHK handles participants' personal data and has routines for managing and protecting data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. See VHK’s document concerning GDPR, Refer to the VHK document regarding GDPR (in swedish).

General Participation Information

VHK reserves the right to change course leaders, lecturers, or discussion leaders without informing participants in advance.

VHK reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions or venues for training or network meetings. If a session is canceled by VHK, a new session will be offered. If instead, the network group cancels, the session will not be rescheduled.

VHK reserves the right to make changes to the content of programs as all our services are continuously developed to meet customer needs and changes in legislation, etc.

In the case of a missed training day in a program where the customer receives certification, the participant can make up the day digitally at the next available opportunity. Please note this only applies to certification programs; in other cases, the customer is not compensated.

The dates for network meetings are determined semi-annually in consultation with the participants, based on the majority decision of the group.

All rights to documentation belong to VHK and/or our partners, in accordance with applicable legislation.

Both parties are obligated to keep the other party updated with correct information, such as contact details and billing information, before and during the service's execution. If changes occur that may affect the execution of the service, this information should be promptly made available to the other party.

Free Events

In case of illness, cancellation is accepted on the same day. Otherwise, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the event. If a participant does not attend a free seminar held at VHK or a venue rented by VHK for the purpose, without cancellation according to the above, VHK reserves the right to charge a no-show fee.

Payment Terms

VHK generally invoices after registration and at the latest at the start. Network membership is subsequently invoiced annually in advance.

VHK invoices the full amount via eInvoice or as a PDF via email. If the customer requests invoicing in another manner, VHK reserves the right to charge an invoice fee in accordance with applicable laws and practices.

All prices are quoted excluding VAT. Invoice payments must be made within 30 days.

In the event of an unpaid invoice and after a payment reminder (10 days), VHK reserves the right to charge a statutory reminder fee and the right to transfer the matter to debt collection.

Non-payment of registration or training fees does not constitute cancellation.

All registrations are binding.

Force Majeure

If a party is prevented from fulfilling this agreement due to circumstances beyond the party's control, and the party could not reasonably have foreseen such circumstances at the time of the agreement and could not reasonably have avoided or overcome their consequences, this shall constitute grounds for exemption, leading to the postponement of the time for performance. If the performance of the agreement is substantially impeded for more than three months due to any of the above circumstances, either party, without liability for compensation, has the right to terminate the agreement in writing.
